Belong works to tackle the lack of professional help for Alzheimer's patients and associated family members.
The application provides a modern solution for loved ones to find help and potentially a home for their family.

Through my own experiences touring several different memory care facilities, I've observed a tendency to promote a welcoming environment (regardless of the success of that intention).
The graphic standard works to stay simple and warm for the users. Taking care of someone with Alzheimer's can be incredibly exhausting. The interface should not create more complications.
I chose to use gentle shades of purple to represent main theme of Belong. Paired with a dark grey and cream color, the overall palette is inviting and simple.
A central element of the app was to find a home for the mind of the Alzheimer's patient. Paired with the font Rubik in medium, the design invokes a sense of relaxation.
The choice of typeface for this project revolved heavily around accessibility for the user. Both typefaces are highly legible and are relatively similar to common san-serif type used in popular apps today.
As main selling point of the app, the interactive map needed to be straightforward and easy for the user to digest.
Use of common design patterns for mobile phone maps was leveraged in order to avoid any unnecessary foreign concepts being introduced to the user.
The majority of the workflow should be searching for a fitting home, not learning an innovative UI.
A vital feature of project that separates this tool from other competitors.
information about symptoms provided sourced from official reports & authorized other users.
User is encouraged to create a profile detailing the specifics of their loved one's symptoms in order to find the best match for them.
The profile also creates a easily accessible database for the memory care facility to serve each resident with their exact needs in mind.
