Teamwork and collaboration is an integral part of design. Good work can be great with just a few extra perspectives.
Inspired by the friendliness found in the design process, the theme is playful and articulate.
Repeated varying shapes are also a main theme, as iteration plays a huge role in every designers workflow.
The high contrast between blue and red in the color palette is inspired by the collaboration of designers from varying backgrounds.
The typefaces selected reflect the friendly form of the design, with softer edges and thicker stems.
The logo displays a bounding box found in object based design programs such as Illustrator and photoshop.

Milestones are displayed in simple fashion, showcasing statistics to give the viewer an immediate sense of credibility when viewing the site.

One of the essential narratives of the DSS project is the DSS award presented to the most promising upcoming designers.
One student is selected each year to receive a special award, guaranteeing their education to support to activity in the design community.
DSS award recipients are given a spotlight on the website, with a small description detailing the hard work put into their craft.
